The Sun is shining but the winds haven't picked up yet and it is a bit chilly here in NW Florida!  I am sure it is chilly in many places.  I looked at the forecast in Omaha, NE and it's 3' with a windchill of -11!  Burr!  What is the temp where you are?  Is it bone-chilling cold or is it nice and toasty and you are ready for a house guest? We got groceries yesterday so we could stay in the next few days and stay warm, but we have a Bible study tonight anyway!  But we will still stay warm and study.  I know for some of you, when you hit my blog you didn't expect to get small sermons, but ya know, this is really us.  Our hearts desire is for you to really know Jesus as your own personal friend.  If you already do know him, do you have a daily renewal of your mind?  Is your tongue harnessed so that it doesn't set before you words that you can never take back?  Are those words a blessing to others or do they curse? Good Morning! This morning before work, we turned on the Christian channel and Keith Moore from Branson was on.  He was talking about Mark 16:15 The Great Commission.  What is the Great Commission?  Well, Jesus's last words according to Mark was that we are to go into where we live, work, go to school, the movies, the store, etc. and tell them about who Jesus is.  Who is He to you?  Is he just some guy everyone talks about but you don't know him?  Is he real?  Is he in the Bible?  Yep, I know it's because of Christmas that he is here.  Or do you really know him and have a personal real relationship with God's Son, Jesus.  When I was a kid, we had a Sunday school bus that came and picked us up, okay, sometimes we skipped and went to the park for 3 hours until it looked good, but we did actually go most of the time!  For me, I wanted to know this Jesus who didn't judge me, they said He would love me no matter what I ever di...

I wrote this just a few days ago, and my! things can change fast! " As we prepare for the next year in our journey, we trust that God has an incredible purpose for those we love and those we know.  For us, we have applied for a new job, it is so up to the Lord to bring forth this plan.  We did our part and sent it out in faith.  I will share more info when we have it, but we are in prayer about what God is doing. Let's get you up to date on our life.  This past weekend, Sunday and Monday morning- we left church and as we walked out the door, Steve said, "let's head out today instead of waiting until tomorrow morning."  You see, Sunday was BEAUTIFUL outside!  Monday, a bit cold in the morning but really beautiful too.  So, we came home, packed up 2 days worth the clothes, the coffee maker (yeah, I know), shut the water and water heater off and headed south for Navarre.  We turned east and headed to Destin, not much of a plan in place but knew it was our gift to ourselves and we were gonna enjoy!  So, here is our 12 pic journey into the Southern panhandle of Florida.  So pretty, the beaches are white like snow and it was so quiet and it was just wonderfully peaceful.  This was along coast road 30A, beautiful and prestine.     Look closely at the ramp, it reminded me of snow and no one shoveled the walk!    Steve was enam...

Hi there, This won't be like the last posts, but please read. For the past weeks, God has taken me into some specifics of His Word.  I believed I knew these passages, but not in the light of God and His wisdom. He has taken me into 1, 2, 3 John and Jude.  I have read over these for the past week and ready to really start tearing into them.  One word that continues to strike me, Abide.  So, let's take a look at what this word means- it's so easy!  Fellowship and intimacy and remain with Christ.   Wow!  When you have just met someone that you really desire to know, what are the things that you do to get to know them?  You call them, you google them, you facebook them, and you really have a strong desire to get to know them better.  So how do you get to know Jesus better?   Get yourself a good Bible.  A study Bible that explains some of the passages help, but again that is someone's opinion of the Word.  ...

Isn't it a wonderful time to celebrate God's goodness and love?  Wow! What has God done in your life this past year?  What have you done with God's blessings in your life this past year?  Have you followed His plan and call on your life or have you waited until it was just right to finally allow God to have His way? Did you do what He called you to do without quibbling?  Where did He take you this past year?  Did He take you out of your comfort zone to a place of the unknown or did you decide that it was too uncomfortable and stayed put?  Lots of things have happened in our past year!  January- we knew God had called us out of the church we worked in.  It was a good thing he birthed a new vision in us in that few months prior, I was really struggling with what God had been planning for us.  Not with God, but with leaving the many children and families we were working with and that the growth of the ministries were amazing. ...
