Don't know what to say...

Lord Move in the way that we have never seen before.  There is a mountain in the way and the waves crashing on the shore.  Lord, we are in a real quandary in our country.  Divisiveness is prevalent and our country is in the middle of chaos.  More than even in the 70's when it was divided because of the Vietnam War.  Those radicals of then are in the schools and offices now that hold some of the keys that divide us.  Lord, we just lift this nation to you.  You have not forsaken us, we have seen your hand at work.  Your people are rising up, praying, voting, letting their voices be heard.  But Lord, there are so many more that are scared to be heard because they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.  Lord, I believe it hurts our nation when we don't stick with the Truth.  Progressivism destroys; it is not progress.  It divides this nation that for 25 years was healing.  Healing from the laws that were suppose to heal...

Oceans roar

Yesterday, I woke up in such a state of unbelief and disillusionment.  I called out to friends to encourage me but to no avail, only one came by to rescue me and she did.  I was below the road, I could not even see the ruts in the road, it was so far up there.  No I don't suffer from depression or anxiety, but I do suffer at times from the hands of the enemy.   Psalm 27:3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.   Psalm 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamp s all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.   Psalm 53:5 There they are in great fear Where no fear was, For God has scattered the bones of him who encamp s against you; You have put them to shame, Because God has despised them.     I asked the Lord, "Why are you so silent?"  "Why don't you hear me?".    The Lord is always here, just sometimes...

Oh James!

Image
This time we will be looking at James chapter 2.  My mind is alert, my heart is receptive and I will never be the same, in Jesus' Name. Whether you are a believer, a church goer or non church goer, a non-believer, or just sitting on the fence because you grew up a certain way and you know  you should be this way or that, but it doesn't appeal to you or it's "too judgy".  Sometimes walking away from what we grew up with in church, can change but changing for a reason other than walking away.  We are to be the church not the buildings that we meet in.  We should be the light in the darkness, the hope shown in the way we treat each other, the way we view others.  As Christ followers, not just fans, but real true followers, we know our Hope and Faith is in the Lord.  We know that without HIM there is no life.  One day, we will be accountable for the things we believe now whether it's at judgment day or it's when things in our country get worse ...

Diggin James

Image
Let us start with this first and always! During this blog we have looked at so much, but digging has been one thing we have done more of.  Yes, it is a travel blog of sorts but of the heart and mind not necessarily the road which we travel. Sometimes the Lord places on my heart something that I just can not let go of until I write it out.  Like a few posts ago about women in the pastorate.  How important they are the Lord and to the church.  How important women are to the Lord and spreading his word.  Then the Lord took me into Zephaniah to remind me/us of what God is going to do and how we have walked away over and over and over again.  Each generation has walked further away, some remnants remain steadfast after the Lord and His call.  We wonder how did we get this far?  Well, we have to look at our own parenting and the schools, society and what was right at the time.  Each one of us has a story of faith, whether we a...

Look at me! What can you see? Do you see?

As I opened up Zephaniah, a small book in the Old Testament. I was reading the Introduction and it reads like this. "Standing on a busy corner, the prophet lifts a rough sign inscribed with the short message: "Repent, the for end is near!" People rush by. They don't notice or don't want to notice the message. God has become someone they can ignore. Zephaniah's moment in history was an ancient version of that scene. He repeatedly warned people. "The Day of the Lord is at hand!" using the expression more than any other prophet did. His work set the stage for a last minute revival under Josiah. It was short lived. Only a few years. Judah had been defeated and sent to exile. People who ignored God discovered they could not ignore.  This book was written by Zephaniah during his ministry, about 635 - 625 B.C. Along his journey of telling you what the Lord says, he states his lineage.  He is the only prophet descended from royalty.  He was a con...
