Hope

Hope... what is hope?  How is hope defined?  Let's rock this word and find out. 

The Word of God tells us in many places what hope is.  Hebrews 11:1 says "Faith is the substance hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

1Colossians 1:27 says "The Hope of Glory, Christ in me.

A small word, with a heaping helping of meaning. Hope endures. Hope believes when we can’t see. Do you have a word you are clinging to this year? Please leave a comment if you do, I’d love to hear it.

The World defines hope as sometimes elusive and or fleeting.

In Webster's Dictionary: the archaic word HOPE is defined as TRUST. So let's replace hope with trust and see how it fits.


It fits beautifully- same meaning different word. 

Hope, Faith and Love, the greatest of these is Love.

In my search for Hope, I find Jesus.  He is the center of my life, the head of my life and I walk in the back, I place my hope in HIM.  I know I can not be in this life without HOPE/Trust in HIM. 

If I have lost everything in my life, family, house, jobs, I still have Jesus. 

He is the rock of my Salvation.
He is the cornerstone of my life.

Charles Haddon (CH) Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) was a British Particular Baptist preacher. Spurgeon remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations, among whom he is known as the "Prince of Preachers". He was a strong figure in the Reformed Baptist tradition. Spurgeon produced powerful sermons of penetrating thought and precise exposition. Many Christians have discovered Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature.

What an inspiring message to give hope. I'll have to remember this for my upcoming high school senior. #God #faith #Christian

When I am lost and need my Jesus, I remember all the names God is and pray on those names, giving God again first place.  Read through these names from the Old Testament to the New. 

Isn't God awesome?  Here is the way I will at times pray.  El Olam, the everlasting God, yes you are, you are here from the beginning to the end. You are El Shaddai, you are all I need.  You are El Elyon- The God most High, you reign over all the earth, you reign in my heart and life.
Lord you are Jehovah Jireh, my provider, your grace is all I need.  Your banner over me is Love.  You are the creator of all things.  You are my shepherd, you reign.  and I will go all through these, for me it helps me to remember who HE created me to be and what He does for me daily.

And so, we hope in the Lord, we Trust in the Lord.

In our life, we say "we hope" it works out.  We trust that it will.  But what if is doesn't.  Did God fail you?  No, never.  But... but... God never fails.  We fail, but when we place our trust/hope in God, sometimes things don't happen because HE has a different plan.  Sometimes, it's people's free will that happens.

"Sometimes the Lord calms the storm; sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His child." Amen! " He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my foot upon a rock, and established my goings." And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord." Psalm 40:2-3



."Let us honor the deep-rooted relationship we have with God by remaining deeply rooted in our marriages. Let a community of two be rooted in communion. Let us find intimacy in the remembrance. Let us forever tell the story of how we met."

The Battle is the Lords! A voice somewhere out of nowhere comes and tells you you are not worthy, you need to just leave this earth and it will be better.  The battle of voices rage in your head, who do you believe? Preparations

In everyone's life, it takes prep work to take on a new job, a new outlook, a new hobby, a new pet, a new child, or a new way of living.  For us it's no different. We are on the move every few months, sometimes every six months these days.  We need to prepare for the move, we need to see what the area is like, we need to find the Wal-mart and sometimes we have found a local church.  This time seems a bit different though. We have a Pastor's conference at Perry Stone's.  He is an evangelist and God has done and continues to do an incredible work in this man.  Here is the link to his site.  Perry Stone    His site is loaded with a great deal of learning.  He also hosts and does Manna Fest on TV. Waiting/Wading in the UNTILS until .... part 2.

Hello, Welcome back.... So, in the last post about the UNTILS, we left with the scriptures in our hands and hopefully in your heart as well.  But I felt that there is more to our story than just the scripture.  I know, for me, there is more to this story.   I have always been a planner, I guess one could say wading in the UNTILS.   I love planning but what I have realized over the course of this past year is that wading in the UNTILS doesn't really allow GOD free Reign in our lives.  "Man plans his ways but the LORD directs their steps and makes them sure."   We know when we get ahead of God, He can make us flip on a dime.  He has and sometimes we have had to eat the change.  As RVers, our years and seasons begin to blend together.  Maybe for you too.  We have been living the RV life twice.  Once for about 2 years.  In the first years, Steve was deeply in debt, most would see NO WAY OUT!  But we got out of i...
