Have you ever thought about your faith? Can it be lost? Can it be found again if it's lost?

When you first came to Jesus, your heart knew that it was missing something, there was maybe a hole in your heart, and you knew you JUST NEEDED to fill it.

Jesus was the answer you needed.

You were so on fire for Jesus!  YOU told everyone that would listen and even to some who wouldn't listen, but you still were so on fire!

Are you still?

How has your faith grown?

How has it waned?

Sometimes we are in a huge group setting when this happens and we don't know where to start to feed what God has for us, that fire that consumes are thoughts.  We are falling in love with Jesus.

This fires needs stoked, it needs oxygen to survive, but how?

Sometimes it takes an amazing pastor who can teach and not preach, one that grows you and not stops you.  One that finds joy in doing so.  Sometimes it takes a music group whose worship songs or praise songs hits you right there, and you are put on your knees because of those songs, not about you, but about HIM.

But really, getting into the WORD, not on digital but paper.  The paper BIBLE, speaks to you, the feel of it, the smell of it, the weight of it, speaks.

Hide HIS word in your heart, so you might not sin against HIM.  Where do I start reading?  For me, Romans, James, Acts, Mark and John, and Psalms.  I love Proverbs as well.  5-10 minutes a day for the first weeks, then increase it.  Read a Chapter, ponder about it and wonder and ask the Lord what it means.  Bible studies are great, but these are still man's writings and not GOD's. As a new believer or one that has fallen away, getting into these books helps to strengthen your faith.

Find a great teacher online, how?  Well it is easy to be deceived too, for some, they have started out with a few of the big namers on tv, but wait there's more and different ways to find out.  It isn't about a denomination, it is about digging into the WORD and seeing JESUS through the WORD, not a denomination who restricts what you learn.  Some may not like that sentence but it isn't about denominations to follow Jesus.  We want ALL of HIM, not part of HIM.  We can do what he says we can do.  We can pray with authority, we can live with KINGDOM Power.

HOW can I speak about losing faith when I have never lost my faith?

I have NEVER waned from it, honestly.  Anna K's Jesus is exactly what HE looks like, exactly. In Heaven's for Real, Todd Burpo said the same.

My son went to be with Jesus when he was 6.5 yo, I just wanted to die, but I had a 7.5 yo and a almost 4 yo, I couldn't leave them.

BUT GOD! I met Jesus and my son about 2 months after he left.

Jesus told me, D was safe, he was healed and whole, he was now talking, running, laughing, and he was whole.  I met Jesus face to face with D.  D was smiling so big and he just smiled.  Oh my heart! I was a pretty new believer and I was not sure how this would affect me, but boy did it.

You see D was a drug baby- his father had used for 10 years prior to us having children. I was a naive 18 yo who never did drugs or got in much trouble. But their dad was nice as were his friends.  Our first born had a few problems but, 13 mo. later his brother was born with major issues.  Surgery at age 2 mo. for his soft spot growing closed too early.  He had a feeding tube put in.  His first surgery left him nerve deaf. The doctors called Dept. of Family Services bc he was failure to thrive- because the doctor refused to listen to what I would say. He just turned me in.  I was in the middle of a separation because of drugs over family won.  I had two babies 1 and 2 on welfare and living in public housing. But GOD! The social worker who came was amazing and listened, she signed off after 6 mo. worth the visits, we were free.  My son had a home visit therapy and she prayed for us all the time.  I came to Jesus way too many times a child- every week in the Baptist church I would raise my hand to receive Jesus.  No one ever told me I didn't need to.  That faith grew in my little by little.  When D passed away, my faith was strong.  I knew I would survive this loss, but it took 20 years to walk through the grieve.  But every year I would teach about heaven or his heaven day. My oldest son past to heaven 2.5 years ago at age 39, he knew Jesus personally and I had such a peace about it.

Since 1986, I have walked and chased after God.  I have never wavered or lost faith in HIM.  I have hidden his word in my heart so I might not sin against HIM.  I have learned and taught, I have never struggled because getting into the WORD, SONGs that renew my hope in HIM give me strength.

Larry Libby does a great job with his book about Heaven.

I have worked in churches, I have gone to churches, but honestly, I just want Jesus.  I just want to sit at HIS feet, I want to soak in HIS presence. I don't want 3 songs, prayer for whatever, and a sermon.  I just want ABBA.  I belong to HIM!

These are some of my go to's when I need to be in HIS PRESENCE and it brings me to the feet of Jesus.  Holy Spirit breathes new life in me.

"Faith is not a feeling

First, we must understand that faith has nothing to do with our feelings. Putting our faith on the foundation that is emotions can make it very unstable. God likens our faith foundations to being either rock or sand. When we place our faith on things as fleeting or shaky as emotions, circumstances or favor, we become like foolish men building on the wrong foundations.

God desires that we plant our faith on things that do not waver or change such as God's Word. That's why Romans 10:17 so strongly encourages us, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."

Faith is found in Jesus

Moreover, the best foundation that we can ever lay our faith on is the Person of Jesus Christ. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and because we know that Jesus will remain forever faithful, we can put our hope and trust in Him.

1 John 5:5 says, "Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God." It's not easy to put our faith in God because we tend to overcomplicate faith. God doesn't expect you to get your faith right, but the good news is that even as we grow still in putting our faith in God, God remains faithful still.

God is not the kind of God who will not be gracious or faithful to someone who hasn't mastered full and complete trust yet. If He did then none of us would be recipients of His unlimited grace. But because Jesus gives His life as a prize -- a gift freely received by all -- we can be assured that God will remain faithful when we are not."
