It's the Most Wonderful Time of the year...

Merry Christ-mas!  May all your prayers be answered with HIS will. Crockett TX, Christmas House This has been an exciting year for us!  We have seen so much and been so many places!  We visited Dinosaur State Park in TX where Peter had a great time with the dinos and then we made our way down to Guadalupe State Park where we tested out the water in the winter time.  Nice.  We drove to Austin to get our retirement straightened out.  Then we decided to wander Texas and up to Nebraska for a while.  We made our way to Georgia, stopping in Savannah to see the history. We did the first part of this trip in a terrible Terra.  It was the worst and best of Motorhomes.  Too many things to list what was wrong and right with it.  We eventually traded it in for the Discovery.  It was much better. And it fit all of us better.  We then, closed on our house and moved onto Amarillo TX, Santa Fe NM, Taos NM, A...

Are you clearly heaven bound... or are you...?

Why do I ask this?  Because Hell is real and so is Heaven!  The devil rules hell along with all the demons that he sends forth to prick and poke at your life.  Jesus is the only way to heaven, the WAY, the Truth and the Life, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER unless through me.  ***** But by today's thinking everyone goes to heaven.  Umm.... no they don't.  Narrow is the way for wide is the gate.  Narrow is the way is so much more than what you think, it's about obedience to God.  It's not always easy because temptations come and they try their hardest to take you places you would never go on your own or your own choosing.  That gate is wide and wide open, but you have the choice to close it.  To whom am I speaking to here?  Well, it seems that on FB things get posted and never sure what the true heart for God is.  I hear AMEN on things but when it really matters to the real life stuff of what is happening in our world, the answ...

Reflections of our past.

We live in a time that not many recognize.  I think back on what it must have been like in the 70's when they protested the war, fought for freedoms, but they spat on the soldiers- some who believed they were doing the right thing and others who were drafted.  I believe if I were not just a child back then it would have saddened me at the sight of it.  When we don't change out outlook, our history will always repeat itself.  Always.  And there will be people that usher in those histories.  Taken from http://www.history.com/topics/1970s I see the same thing happening today, all these years later.  Here's a write up: The 1970s were a tumultuous time. In some ways, the decade was a continuation of the 1960s. Women, African Americans, Native Americans, gays and lesbians and other marginalized people continued their fight for equality, and many Americans joined the protest against the ongoing war in Vietnam. In other ways, however, the decade wa...

What is Christmas?

I look at what Christmas means... the celebration, the symbols, the reasons to celebrate, to give gifts, to see one another in a new light.  The Light of Jesus.  As I write this, I will be the first one to say I am not perfect in this way.  There are a few people that I thought so highly of and even put on pedestals only to watch what I thought was a great fall from grace.  In my own eyes, they did and letting go of them has been hard but I can't see them for the greatness they once had in my eyes.  I can't see them for the changes they have made within them and on the outside because it's not the person whom I believed in for years.  So I, too, struggle with this.  Let's take a peek at all things that we surround ourselves with for the holidays. The Manger scene- Joseph and Mary, and of course Jesus.  Let's look at where it is...  Back then, they put there animals in caves, not in wooden structures.  The m...
