  When you first came to Jesus, your heart knew that it was missing something, there was maybe a hole in your heart, and you knew you JUST NEEDED to fill it.  Jesus was the answer you needed.   You were so on fire for Jesus!  YOU told everyone that would listen and even to some who wouldn't listen, but you still were so on fire!   Are you still?   How has your faith grown? How has it waned?  Sometimes we are in a huge group setting when this happens and we don't know where to start to feed what God has for us, that fire that consumes are thoughts.  We are falling in love with Jesus.  This fires needs stoked, it needs oxygen to survive, but how?     Sometimes it takes an amazing pastor who can teach and not preach, one that grows you and not stops you.  One that finds joy in doing so.  Sometimes it takes a music group whose worship songs or praise songs hits you right there, and you are put on your knees...

Solid Rock on Which We Stand

  Jesus is our Solid Rock.   Psalm 18 I love You, O’Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom will I trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. David spoke these words and he had been running from Saul.   As we were driving up through the mountains and seeing trees grow on the top of rocky hills and knolls, I thought about how The Lord is our solid rock but also how we can be so hard hearted but God can still soften it.  Sometimes it takes a lot to crack through, but when it does, the reward is heaven bound.   We left Texas 27 May and headed to Colorado to go on the Royal Gorge train, the Cog railway, and to see what it was like.  It was snowing by the time we got back to the railway depot.  It was raining in the town below.  We also drove through Garden of Rocks (gods...

November- A month to be thankful!

Most of us have thought about what we are thankful for... family, food and friends.  But deep down, what are the things you are most thankful for?  How's your year been?  Did you make it through the hardships well?  Did you make it through the joyful times with greater appreciation of where and who you are and created to be?  Did you make it through the year unscathed or with little wear and tear?  Did you make it through at all?  Being Thankful and Grateful are sometimes hard to really see.  Sometimes it's like looking through a looking glass and hard to focus on the little things.  But when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.  Our year has been one of major changes.  How we have survived some of them has made us a lot stronger, some have taken us down a notch.  But it is how we look at them that the depth perception has changed.
