In everyone's life, it takes prep work to take on a new job, a new outlook, a new hobby, a new pet, a new child, or a new way of living. For us it's no different. We are on the move every few months, sometimes every six months these days. We need to prepare for the move, we need to see what the area is like, we need to find the Wal-mart and sometimes we have found a local church. This time seems a bit different though. We have a Pastor's conference at Perry Stone's. He is an evangelist and God has done and continues to do an incredible work in this man. Here is the link to his site. Travel Day- Not!

Okay, today was suppose to be a travel day. We are to report to Vidalia LA for 3-5 month work camp stint. But, when we saw the forecast for rain and more rain for today, we decided to stay put and wait out the storm. It's pouring out, I do mean buckets and buckets at a time. Along with the lightening and thunder. Even trying to get the "boys" out today was proving tough. Mary went out, but then Cleo and Peter said "NO WAY!", but Peter did have to go out anyway to potty. What is Christmas?

I look at what Christmas means... the celebration, the symbols, the reasons to celebrate, to give gifts, to see one another in a new light. The Light of Jesus. As I write this, I will be the first one to say I am not perfect in this way. There are a few people that I thought so highly of and even put on pedestals only to watch what I thought was a great fall from grace. In my own eyes, they did and letting go of them has been hard but I can't see them for the greatness they once had in my eyes. I can't see them for the changes they have made within them and on the outside because it's not the person whom I believed in for years. So I, too, struggle with this.
