It's New Year's Day 2011

Hi there, This won't be like the last posts, but please read. For the past weeks, God has taken me into some specifics of His Word.  I believed I knew these passages, but not in the light of God and His wisdom. He has taken me into 1, 2, 3 John and Jude.  I have read over these for the past week and ready to really start tearing into them.  One word that continues to strike me, Abide.  So, let's take a look at what this word means- it's so easy!  Fellowship and intimacy and remain with Christ.   Wow!  When you have just met someone that you really desire to know, what are the things that you do to get to know them?  You call them, you google them, you facebook them, and you really have a strong desire to get to know them better.  So how do you get to know Jesus better?   Get yourself a good Bible.  A study Bible that explains some of the passages help, but again that is someone's opinion of the Word.  ...

Happy New Year! (trumpets blow, the whistles toot)

Isn't it a wonderful time to celebrate God's goodness and love?  Wow! What has God done in your life this past year?  What have you done with God's blessings in your life this past year?  Have you followed His plan and call on your life or have you waited until it was just right to finally allow God to have His way? Did you do what He called you to do without quibbling?  Where did He take you this past year?  Did He take you out of your comfort zone to a place of the unknown or did you decide that it was too uncomfortable and stayed put?  Lots of things have happened in our past year!  January- we knew God had called us out of the church we worked in.  It was a good thing he birthed a new vision in us in that few months prior, I was really struggling with what God had been planning for us.  Not with God, but with leaving the many children and families we were working with and that the growth of the ministries were amazing. ...

Sometimes in life, whether Christian or other, we make huge mistakes.  I am good at making mistakes, I admit it!  I jump to conclusions or I allow my feelings to run aground and guide my steps.  In doing these mistakes, I tend to hurt people along the way.  I don't mean to, I don't really have a mean bone in me.  I do have a dumb bone that causes some inadequecies and allows those underground feelings to rear up and take over.  I am working on digging the roots out of those feelings and put them out in the light and figure out how to let go of those feelings.  Okay, so let's go on here... My brother was born in Mobile AL a long time ago!  Okay, not a long time ago but at least 45 years ago, that is a long time ago! I don't think it looked like this though... Mobile Bay Boat yard, we have seen cruise ships docked here. We always drive past this, it is always interesting to see what they are working on. Down town Mobile from...

It's Christ-mas weekend

It's the most beautiful time of the year!  Whether snow or rain or sunny skies, the heart changes at this time of year.  Or at least it should.  For most people it's about family and love and the warmth inside minded.  For some, maybe they were homeless this year after so many years of "having" and this year the bottom fell out, they had no place to go but the streets.  For some they are living in little communities of squaller type digs. The paper here the other day, said down by the beach there were 11 communities.  A few churches have opened their doors to house them and feed them.  We as a church body are to care for one another.  This Christmas we watched God turn hurt into His Glory!  Pain into Incredible Love!  It was a beautiful Christmas.  This year, the gifts weren't expensive, they weren't.  They were simple and well-thought out, but we had so much fun doing that.  Here's a pic of what we did for...

Wasn't sure about....

How I would write this blog differently than the past blog.  We have so much to share, we don't want to offend anyone but we are who we are.  We have been changed, molded, in love with Jesus and we can't stop talking about it with anyone.  One day soon, it will be illegal to be a Christian.  If you read David Barton's Wall Builders or listen to Glenn Beck, you will see that the liberties of your freedom are at stake.  Whether you are a Christian or not, your liberties as an American are at stake.  Start looking for the things that are changing.  You have people that don't believe in anything but socialism in the office and they are determined to make you think that China is a good thing and that you would be better off living like that.  If you have saved your money for years, be prepared.   If you are a full time RVer, know that your life will change in ways you never thought it would.  Be prepared, costs of food ...

Woke up to no water this a.m. Oh Man!

It's incredible!  It only got to 34 last night and we didn't think we needed to drip water- WRONG!  We should have! We didn't run the furnace either because we have tons of blankets on the bed and we have two electric heaters. So, we didn't do what we always do, run both water and furnace.  It really messed up my morning routine!  Oh well, live and learn! We spent Sat. with the kids, like the post the other day, we went to Wales West.  We met the owner and met the people we would have worked for, ugh!  We did not introduce ourselves, we felt that was too over the top; since we had turned down a job there last summer.  But it was a great day!  It was so much fun to watch the grandkids be so excited about the trains.  So here's some pics... Steam and Coal Engine at Wales West.  It runs around the owner's property.  That's the owner standing in the doorway. Steve (popa), Joel, and Jimmy (Joel'...

Oh the weather outside is frightful but the season is so delightful...

I could say let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... however, those of you up north are getting blasted and it must be really cold!  Here in Florida, it isn't all sunny and warm, we have had some terrible weather as well.  But today it is raining.  It was 60% but it is more like 100% at least for the past few hours.  We are heading to Wales West on Sunday hopefully.  Here is the link http://www.waleswest.com/ This is where we almost took a position for this winter but it just was too much for us.  So, we will go and enjoy it with our grandkids and enjoy the Christ-mas season.  Our hope is your Christ-mas time is Merry and Blessed and wonderfully warm.  It's not about the toys, the stuff, but it is about the time that you spend with your family.  Time can't be bought, it can only be given.

It's warmer in Florida today!

Not by much, but it is suppose to reach 75 today, with a chance of rain.  Our lows have been unreal for here; even Miami got really cold.  They said the veggie and fruit prices would go up with this last freeze and it's only December!  Wowzers!  We have been dripping our water to keep the lines from freezing and running the furnace a little to keep the underbelly warm.  But there's nothing like a nice warm quilt to cover up with and watch a wonderful movie!  Today is a work day for us.  We work 2 days a week for our site = 10 hours.  So, sitting in Semi-Retirement is not really that much fun at least for me.  I think Steve kinda likes it but that will change when we go to Michigan.  We will work 40 hours each and our site will cost 8 hours each.  I may not put our work pics up from here, they aren't that interesting - we clean commodes, sinks and showers- all important to those using them but not great shots for pics! ...

Take a look at our history from our last blog

We posted 50 times!  Lots of pics and growth during the last 3 years of posts!  Join us for a new adventure here at Blogspot.

I found us!

We were lost but now we are found!  I wasn't sure what I did with this blog.  We blog on another site, but this one seemed to be a bit more friendlier.  We are in the Panhandle of Florida and many miracles in our own life have happened here.  God is in control and we are blessed so much.  So, since I have found us again.  I will post more often on here.   Gulf Coast Sand- beautiful, white, oil free and wonderful!  Stick your feet in the warm sand and enjoy the view! And then go in and enjoy the waves! From the Pier at Narvarre Beach FL.  One of the most favorite places we have visited.  But we have met some wonderful people too.   This is our church family.  They loved us before we even arrived in town! Until next time!
