Look at me! What can you see? Do you see?

As I opened up Zephaniah, a small book in the Old Testament. I was reading the Introduction and it reads like this. "Standing on a busy corner, the prophet lifts a rough sign inscribed with the short message: "Repent, the for end is near!" People rush by. They don't notice or don't want to notice the message. God has become someone they can ignore. Zephaniah's moment in history was an ancient version of that scene. He repeatedly warned people. "The Day of the Lord is at hand!" using the expression more than any other prophet did. His work set the stage for a last minute revival under Josiah. It was short lived. Only a few years. Judah had been defeated and sent to exile. People who ignored God discovered they could not ignore.  This book was written by Zephaniah during his ministry, about 635 - 625 B.C. Along his journey of telling you what the Lord says, he states his lineage.  He is the only prophet descended from royalty.  He was a con...

We have not because we ask not!  1 Kings 3:11 Then God said to him: “ Because you have ask ed this thing, and have not ask ed long life for you rself, nor have ask ed riches for you rself, nor have ask ed the life of you r enemies, but have ask ed for you rself understanding to discern justice, 12  behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.     2 Chronicles 1:11 Then God said to Solomon: “ Because this was in you r heart, and you have not ask ed riches or wealth or honor or the life of you r enemies, nor have you ask ed long life—but have ask ed wisdom and knowledge for you rself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king— 12  wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before ...

When passion becomes stronger than the desires to stay, you stay in those passions until you can do all you can do. Over the past few posts, we have experienced great joy and glad tidings, yep, I know that is a Christmas thing, but it is true every day of the year.  Great Joy and Glad Tidings.  In a quest to understand what being a Pastor who happens to be called by God who also happens to be a woman has sent me in search of more.  More answers to the questions that most equate to their denominational beliefs because it is what their denomination believes!  But when we decide to really look at what does God really say and how does He speak to us in such a way that we can truly understand Him.  Yes, we can read His Word, we can read it out loud and believe that we are hearing from Him.  But I have to say, I can hear from the Lord as I sit and write this.  My relationship is strong and mighty with Him.  I have always heard His voice, audibly...

"He who hates correction is stupid." —Proverbs 12:1 NKJV If you ignore God's correction, you may very well find yourself in a place you don't want to be. God's correction isn't negative. It's positive. It keeps us away from things that are destructive in our lives and leads us into life.  From the book Good or God. When we focus on the day to day and the trouble that follows us, weaving in and out of our days, it becomes a struggle to focus on why He put us in some places that really require us to reach deep, deep down in our soul to see the greatness that is to come.  It's hard to remember that the blessings WILL come even when it's the hardest.  Running to the Lord when it's tough, creates a deeper down faith and a hope that can withstand the storms.  Trusting Him in all things and knowing that no matter the hardness, He has our back.  Trust in the Lord with all our heart, lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge ...

God's Call

In a debate of sorts, I found myself not wanting to take part in it.  Since I know the Lord has called me into ministry and ordained me as a Minister of the Gospel of Christ as a Pastor.  I know without a shadow of a doubt he has.  Yet, many denominations do not recognize women in the pulpit.  They see just a few scriptures and take man's word for it and stand on it.  But there are so many more scriptures that proclaim differently than those very few that many stand on as the Whole Word of God.   I see many youtube videos of people proclaiming that others are apostates and preaching the wrong things and maybe they are or aren't but don't take their word for it, look up those scriptures, find out for yourself who God has called.  No one is righteous, no not one! We are saved by grace, but once saved/born again, we must work as change agents for the Kingdom.  No weapons formed against us shall prosper, all that rise up against us shal...
