Entrapment-  to lure into a compromising statement or act.  Tough word.  In January on this blog, I wrote that we felt trapped, entrapped.  How were we ever to get out of it?  Well, here is October 2012 on us and in August, the Lord gave us that word of entrapment.  However, this time, we came home and prayed about it.  We realized that what we were doing was being trapped into something others believe is the American dream of having a house and all the stuff that goes with it.  For us, it is entrapment.  We have a travel trailer that is our home.  It is something we love and we love being in.   This is our home, but right now it is sitting outside in the driveway waiting to be used again.  We are looking for a Children's Pastor Position and to get back to the call we were given by the Lord a few years ago.  Man, Lord we were so very blessed!  Me, saying goodbye!  I was really ...

Azores Chapel- The new beginning of leadership for me.  It was something the Lord had and I was never sure of until God showed strong.  In 2002, I was forced to go to the Azores with my ex. and my then 16 yo daughter.  We were leaving a Basketball club we were running with 28 families.  It was something that I really did enjoy doing.  We traveled all over Iowa and Nebraska, playing basketball, going to tournaments and have many families that we were so blessed by.  This move to the Azores was a blessing though.  It really opened the doors to the future.  The marriage didn't make it, but the friendships my daughter and I made there are still going.  I was determined that I would make quilts and rest in the Lord.  I was in a class and someone asked me if I wanted to volunteer for something.  That standard answer that I was going to quilt and rest in the Lord came up a few times.  Well, when I inquired about the Aw...

I didn't realize it has been over 5 months since I have written.  That's really sad!  Not sure if anyone is even reading this anymore.  Our journey of deciding to come off the road is sometimes most regretted.  Buying a house and all the entrapments of what it entails is like a slow death.  It is slowly eating us alive and there seems to be no way out now!  But we know that God works His plan accordingly and we are hoping that daycare would take off and still praying on it and for it to bring in children, afterall we have invested so much in it, including purchasing this house, we wonder.  We know this is what the Lord had called us to do, we know it like we know our own name.  We are standing on that WORD, believing that He will do exceedingly more than we expect.  Romans 8:28-30   "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He forekn...

Why His Word?  Why not the way I have always done it and like it that way?  Why do I have to change my ways?   Well you can stay the way you are or you can experience great change and see the world through the lens of God and see what He sees.  Okay, you won't get supernatural vision, but you may. God's gifts are enormous and eternal! We do still have the name, the blog, the passion for people, the love of Jesus in our whole being and we love you all. Christ in Action Meeting People where they're at...  We meet people everywhere that maybe hasn't had someone say good morning to or that has had a no good,horrible, very bad day and they are ready to move on.  Sometimes we can't move on because there is a lesson to be learned here and they just haven't been willing to listen to their heart to find out why.  So, sometimes we/they repeat the pattern and it's a matter of a number of very bad days and still the still small voice continues to try to get their attention to say "Hey, I am here, Listen to Me!"  But maybe still they don't hear that still small voice and their days continue to spiral down.  Or maybe they have listened and it really does change their life.  So, the point here -> Listen to the voice of the Lord, that still small voice that desires the most to lead you in ...

Where do I start?  This was one of the wedding receptions we had.  The bride got married down the road at Montgomery Chapel. Let's start at the beginning.  The last I wrote we were struggling with a huge spiritual battle.  We have been in battles before but nothing this big, nothing that came close to taking us out.  My m-i-l was wonderful through it.  She called to find out what was happening and knew the job was causing problems but she didn't know what was really going on.  So, here I go.  I am not going to cut down anyone in this, so don't be looking for a scandel, it won't be there.  I thought the job I was working was ok.  It was really hard though because not only was I to write the contracts, meet the people, accommodate the many reunions, weddings, etc... I was to know the job explicitely by the end of two weeks.  That was okay too, but when a meeting on Thursday turned violently evil, that left me speechless!...

It's been an extremely long time since I shared much on here.  We have been in a spiritual battle of the deepest kind.  We have battled each other, battled a new job that I really didn't want.  We never ever fight, but this time was a battle.  We thought we were losing Steve's son, so close.  We just about took off for NE to try to get down to the real reason.  But praise God the boy finally called his dad and they began to work through some things.  Ya know, our kids are all over the place.  Montana- Nebraska-Texas-Mississippi.  We are working in Texas for a while.  In fact, it could be for sometime.  Since, I was offered a new position within the campground.  It pays a little more, but we are still negotiating my hours.  I don't want to work 5 days a week, I will work 4 - 9 hour days but I don't really want to work the 5 days.  It's tough.  The battle is the Lord's and not ours.  Sometimes we think i...

When you lift your prayers up, Jesus does answer them!  Thank you Lord! Today is the day before a special day for my parents so many years ago!  We decided to road trip to Galveston and take a look around!  We will post pics tomorrow.  But first I have to go buy new glasses!  They broke today!

Floods, fires, tornados, hurricanes brewing in the gulf, rivers and streams overflowing banks and the heat and droughts!  People coming against others because of lack of values or belief systems.  People, the Word of God says we are to LOVE our neighbor as we love ourself!  Do people not love themself?  Do they stir such a disention pot of unkindness that it overflows in many, too many other areas?  Please get on your knees America and repent for the sins of the nation.  When America goes against Israel, God is not happy.  It won't go well for the nation. As America prepares itself for the next Presidential race, please be aware of and listen closely to the words that the candidates use.  They don't always do as they promise, but then again, you know that.  Be aware as well, many of them want One World Order and a Socialist Republic.  Look at the track records of each person.  What do they stand for?  No matter what party i...

One thing that really does my heart good is watching families spend time together.  Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas seem to be the only times that families put most things aside to spend time together.  Working the campground for the 2nd summer season has been incredible to watch families interact without the cells, the computers going, video games and kids actually playing outside.  So many were at the pool, out in our "big backyard" and everyone I talked with prior to coming I mentioned bringing their bikes so they could play together and many brought them.  It was incredible!  The downside to all the people, Mary-the dog, doesn't like lots of people and struggled in her "big brave dog" attitude.  Steve on the other hand has the gift of visiting and loved on so many throughout the weekend and he loves it!  He really loves that part of his job.  He has never got paid to visit, p/u the trash - to real...

It's been a year since I left the church in Omaha.  It hasn't always been an easy leave.  Many time, so many times, I really miss it.  I miss the kids, the parents, the people at the church and the fun.  It never was about the pay, it was about God's Word being instilled in the kids and their families.  It was about kids knowing, loving, and serving Jesus. Working in registrations at the KOA's is pretty easy and most of the time it's really interesting but I sure miss being with the kids. What I wonder many times is: is God going to put me back into this type of ministry again?  I don't really think too much about why God called us out, I really don't.
