Saying goodbye is never easy

What an emotional spiritual renewing day! I have been so blessed by so many and so many parents. My school parents had a hard time with this, the kids, will on Monday. Kristen Michelle Binkley, you are incredible and I can't wait for you to watch God work in your life. For my current class parents:  What a joy it was to serve and love your children.  Each one of them.  I would love to post their pictures but I don't have permission to do so.    Grace Ko , what an incredible woman of God. What a lovely woman of courage and God. Sindy Mejia , my "old parent", I am so glad we have become friends and that you and I are sisters in Christ Jesus. Martey B aker Heard , thank you for all you have done, making sure everything is okay.    Andrea Powers , thank you for your friendship and our talks and being roomies at conference. Thank you. Elizabeth Bird for praying me in and you and Heidi wrote the same things, it was so powerful to me.  ...

A view from the road, or almost the road.

Saying goodbye to my kiddos at work is so difficult.  I have loved them all and they are all so incredible and wonderful.  Smart and funny, crazy and peculiar but they were mine for a short time.  I love the look one of my little ones gives me when they are questioning the question, eyebrow up and a ummm.... look.  So many of them are just a kick, some are really a little serious and some have such a quick sense of humor.  How old are these little ones?  2 years old.  "Mrs. Junette, can we talk?", it's so much fun!  What a kick!  These kiddos and the last group who I had were wonderful.  Love, love, love the parents, they are giving, kind, generous and fabulous and honest with me.  I will miss this little part of the world!  Becoming an unofficial Aggie was not a choice I really wanted at first.  But ya know, they grow on you and most of them are the sweetest.  Gig'em Ags! We have an almost e...

Seeds to Greatness

How can a mustard seed be so small but so mighty?  How can the faith be like a mustard seed?   Jesus tells it like this: Matthew 17:20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for a ssuredly, I say to you, if you have faith a s a mustard seed , you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ a nd it will move; a nd nothing will be impossible for you.   How can the seed of a man fulfill the promise of the generations?   Acts 13:22-24 New King James Version (NKJV) 22  And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David [ a ] the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’ [ b ] 23  From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior—Jesus— [ c ] 24  after John had first preached, before His coming, the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. How can a Word from God exp...

Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) - Hillsong United - with Lyrics

Image
Even when things seem crazy and out of control, trust in Him and He will show you the way.  He will give you hope, patience, peace, love and understanding.  He will direct your paths. He will give you the desires of your heart, especially when you least expect it.  He will give you the strength to endure the trials and the tribulations that come with experiencing growth.  When we truly allow Him to lead us, where there are no borders, where the ocean roars, where the depths feel like they will shallow us up, yet, he leads us and saves us.

Saying goodbye to a life discovered and lived.

Image
What a whirlwind of a year or a few years.  We have seen ourselves so stuck a little over 2 years ago and not sure if we could even make it to climbing out of it very slowly and very rocky at times.  Giving up our time together but because it was something that he loves to do and something I have been pulling myself to do and then To exceedingly more abundant than ever.  The Lord does restore, he restores everything that was once lost to follow Him in obedience. God is always on time.  We can plan, we can even decide what we want to do and follow that but it may not work out, we fail, we fail attempting it on our own when we should have listened to HIM and followed. We believe that God laughs at our attempts to make it without Him.  How many times do we think we are bigger than Him?  How many times to we believe we can do it on our own?  I am so grateful that God is the Father that says, come on home, it's okay, you are forgiven and you matter...

More Abundantly

Image
Life is fickle, life is joyous, life is precarious, life is fragile. When you have given your life over to Jesus, it's not always easy but it's in His hands and you can be assured that you will have life abundantly when you make the right choices to do so.  Having a life with Jesus still means you need to care for your body, after all, it is the Temple for the Holy Spirit. The Love that God has for you is so incredible and so wonderful.  He knew you before you were even formed in your mother's womb, he knows every hair on your head, he knows every breath you breathe.  Even when life gets tough, rough, and rocky, he knows the plans for you.  Pull up those britches and climb up on his lap and seek his face.  He will listen.  He will never leave you or forsake you.  Read through this blog, there is so much here, how to get through trials and tribulations.  This has been a source of help to me to see God's love in all.

For the Lord our God is with us...

He is Mighty to Save and He is with us.  Sometimes I am so overwhelmed by His Grace and Goodness that I am left speechless.  I fall on my knees and am so humbled by His love for me and for others.  When I am lost, he finds me.  When I am down, He picks me up.  When I am weak, He is strong.  When I am feeling confident, he helps me to continue on.  When my pride gets the better of me, He reels me in and puts my feet on solid ground.  I have been a Christ follower for 30 + years.  I have not changed my passion, though it is a bit tamer than once was, but it is still OUT LOUD and AM CRAZY in LOVE with my Jesus!  Do you know HIM!?   I want to shout on the rooftops about who my Jesus is.  Here is a link to know who My King is!  Do you know Him!? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sChJUaU5W9I May you be blessed as you roll through your days and they roll together into one week, one month, one year.  May you be...

Church- go or stay? Let's delve into these questions and find an answer or some answers.  Going or attending church isn't for salvation, it's for learning and growing.  Salvation can only come from God, through His Son Jesus.  Following the Roman Road is a great way to know that you know that you know.  You can go to this link and it will explain the Roman Road to Salvation.  http://theromanroad.org/ But if you don't know Jesus, you should.  Life isn't always easy, but it's fun and it's a life changer.  If you pray this prayer and you believe with your heart, you turn from your ways  and acknowledge Him, He will make your path straight. Will you now call upon Jesus to save you from your sin so that you  can know God's love and forgiveness?   Pray like this: "Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner, and I am sorry. I need  a Savior. I know I cannot save myself. I believe by faith that Jesus, your  Son, ...

Words...

Image
I woke up this morning with this on my mind.  How powerful Words are.  They can build you up or break you down.  They can destroy a nation or build a nation with hope.  They can grow your child or break them.  Words. Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. Job 6:24 “Teach me, and I will hold my tongue ; Cause me to understand wherein I have erred.   Psalm 5:9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; Their inward part is destruction; Their throat is an open tomb; They flatter with their tongue .   For years, I heard rotten things about who I was and what I wasn't.  Those things I have forgiven the person and tried to forget the words said.  But somehow they are ingrained in my brain.  Sometimes they pop back in because of what someone else said.  I heard some of these words again not long ago, from someone I trusted.  It really made me pause an...

What a beautifully spectacular morning.  The sun is coming up to warm the earth and the sunrise is delightful and wonderful.  It's a bit chilly but it's a winter's day in Texas.  How's this day treating you?  Did you open your gifts and get what you wanted or did you see that what it was, was what someone else wanted for you instead?  Either way you have been blessed by the thought of the gifter.      In Honolulu, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus sit down town and await the festivities and the people.  We used to have a great time seeing them.    We sure miss being out on the road, but for now, God has a grander plan for us.  As difficult as we feel our daily lives can be, difficult because of working and paying the debts off again; we know the joy of hitching up one day and pulling our rig down the road and stopping by the beaches, the mountains, the rivers and streams, the lakes, and the life that awaits we will con...

It's hard... at times... to be...

When your children grow up, they leave home, for some it is joyful but for some it is extremely difficult.  My last child left and it was devastating!  It was the worst case of "I wonder what I will do now that my kids are gone".  I was a children's pastor and that helped some but my mom life was over.  At times I still feel so disconnected from it.  It's been 10 years and it is still hard.  I am not one to "talk back" to my own parents and I am not one to talk badly to my own children.  But when they hurt my feelings, I am not sure what to say.  My feet want to run, my heart cries out to my Heavenly Father - Abba Father!  Not sure how to deal with this part of my life.  My dogs don't talk back, they do have minds of their own and will express them, but they love unconditionally and don't scream.  That's what is on my mind today.  We did make a trip to the Gulf Coast and found it breathtaking once again.  However, the...

Okay, not really but sort of!  Watching the dog frolicking in the water and playing in the sand!  Giggling and then playing his favorite sport, soccer, and yes, I am still talking about the dog!  We have only traveled with Mary but not Peter.   Mary Peter at 4 mo. old. Peter at 10 mo. old We have had a blast on our trip!  The power of the ocean always reminds me of the power God has.  His power is greater and more powerful than anything you can ever imagine.  His great love is power enough! Job has a lot to say about God!  Read here: Job 37:1-13 (message bible) “Whenever this happens, my heart stops— I’m stunned, I can’t catch my breath. Listen to it! Listen to his thunder, the rolling, rumbling thunder of his voice. He lets loose his lightning's from horizon to horizon, lighting up the earth from pole to pole. In their wake, the thunder echoes his voice, power ful and majestic. He lets out all the stops, he h...
